Everyone is their own biggest self critic. I say this all the time. We always nitpick little things we see wrong about ourselves when in reality most people won’t notice what we judge ourselves so hard on. When I see this picture my self critic comes out hard. I see my shoulders aren’t stacked over my wrists, I see so much tension in my body, I know I need to softer, be at ease, & I’m annoyed my left foot is flat on the pole rather than pointed which would shift my chest back and help me be more aligned. But did you guys notice all of this? I’m still learning and developing my practice so I need to learn how not to be so hard on myself. I need to be okay with being imperfectly perfect. ❤️
Come let your perfectly imperfect selves shine through while flowing tonight @prospectheightsyoga 🌟 6:30pm Vinyasa Vibes 🌟 7:45pm Hip Hop Vinyasa .
Soup dumplings are my favorite!! 🥟🥟🥟 These one’s have crab and pork in them and are from this little unassuming spot in Chinatown that I found through internet postings about the best lunch spots in NYC! They definitely delivered and I had such a perfect lunch here today with my mommy! If you’ve never tried soup dumplings they truly are such a fun experience to eat and so so delectable and tasty! You gotta try these! 😛💖❤️👍🏻👸🏼
I snapped this a couple of weeks ago, on January 1, as Rachel Curley prepared for her headshot session. I loved starting the year with this fun shoot, listening to lots of @janellemonae (one of Rachel’s longtime favorite artists) and getting lots of fun and fresh portraits of Rachel, along with a few behind-the-scenes shots like this one.

One of the best workday lunch spots: @blacktapnyc 👊🏼 Grab a serious burger with a beer, or choose from the wings, nachos & milkshakes... Probably the hardest decision you’ll make all day. 📸: @jasoneats

I've always had a love-hate relationship with NYC. Being a born & raised New Yorker means I witness all the changes this crazy city is constantly going through. I definitely fall into the category of an "angry" New Yorker. Yeah, we're fuckin mad. You basically have to pay to breathe the polluted air of this shit shack. The MTA is more unreliable than ever. Slow tourists in the city work my nerves (but I'll still help out with directions lol). Everytime a certain neighborhood becomes gentrified, I wonder if I'll be able to afford raising my kids here in the future. Finding a job you love is harder than ever when everyone in the world comes here for the rat race. But somehow, I can't imagine living anywhere else. This is the only home I've ever known. Even on the hardest days, I look up and can't help but admire the gorgeous architecture. I look around and see people of all varieties. You can basically smell the grind, and it energizes you. You're reminded that you live in the "best city in the world". The city where dreams are imagined, made, shattered, replaced, repaired, and lived out. And suddenly, you feel overwhelmed with gratitude. Just grateful to be part of that.

When I was 16 years old I was greatly unhealthy. I was the kid with acne and braces and had health problems due to my diet and ultimately ended up in the hospital twice!
I had metabolical problems and an iron deficiency causing me to feel torpid and sick all the time. I was greatly insecure due to my situation and wanted to change. I was only 5’5” and weighed 110 pounds!
So I asked my parents to buy me some dumbbells for my birthday to try and get in some kind of shape.
I had begun running but it hurt too much for heart so I stuck with swimming until I built up my stamina.
I knew that working out wasn’t enough. I needed a change of diet so I created a diet for myself mostly consisting of vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, and various meats like chicken and fish. My health problems slowly subsided and today I stand 5’9” and weigh just over 160 pounds. The key to success is persistence #NeverGiveUp•
