I’ve been struggling a lot lately with the amount of technology that is used in our home. It’s a lot I’m not going to lie. But I feel like our family as a whole is becoming more disconnected because of it. And this kiddo right here is struggling the most. He’s becoming a YouTube zombie and the fits and tantrums are out of control and at an all time high.
So we have decided to cut back all around. An hour of tv a day for him, only YouTube while I workout, and to get outside more! Daily morning walks, bike rides, exploring the campus. Anything and everything to get him outside more!
Nick and I are going to cut back on our phone usage around him, and try and Spend more time as a family!
I think In this generation of YouTube and video games, everyone needs to be mindful of how much time they spend on those and how much time they spend with their family! Family should always come first, ALWAYS! ❤️
Check out this scarifying job done late August/early September. It's looking very healthy & lush after all the rain & warm weather we're having. First it was scarified, then the clippings mowed up, top dressed with clean soil (supplied by @caloundralandscapes) & levelled. The rain watered it in for us. *See Part 2 for some amazing after photos.

Today, my #sandytoedkids and I spent the most glorious morning at the beautiful Penrhos Coastal Park near Holyhead, Anglesey. It is such a stunning place with a nature reserve, woods to walk through and this gorgeous “secret” beach. If it had been warmer we could have been anywhere in the world!
The Michigan Youth season was a successful one for Addison this year on September 23rd, a unique 9 point buck! Congratulations Addison! We will see you at your favorite Whitetails banquet with the Huron County Chapter 😁 #preservingthetradition#getthekidsoutdoors
Did you know that marshmallows date back to as early as 2000 BC, originally made from the sap of the marshmallow plant, and in ancient Egypt they were considered such a delicacy that they were reserved only for gods and royalty! Nowadays, toasted marshmallows should be a staple of every childhood and sitting round a campfire with your friends, toasting marshmallows, is the perfect activity for making wonderful memories!
This week I’m linking up to #CountryKids with a post about GreenWood Family Park in North Wales. It’s a great place to visit with kids for lots of outdoor fun! Here’s a pic of my 2 in the den-building area and another pic of the finished den! We LOVE building dens as a family so spent ages here having lots of fun!
