I am tired. 😅
I get quiet online when I’m home because I’m doing all the other stuff. Sleeping, cooking, reading, catching up with friends, Netflix, wine, going to therapy and yoga and church. Sometimes I sit at my desk from 9-5 and sometimes I don’t.
Recently I have been feeling like my schedule has caught up with me. This year has been my biggest yet. I set out at the beginning of the year wanting to be more purposeful in my work, and I’m beyond grateful for the outcome. And now as the days get even shorter, I am taking some time to rest.
Rest is something that is hilariously difficult for me to do. I’m an achiever (type 3 on the enneagram for ya nerds) and when I am not being measurably productive, I often feel like I am failing. I even catch myself trying to be the “best” at resting. 🏆 🤦♀️😂
I have learned that rest is a feature of productivity. When trying to outrun anxiety or burnout, I lose every time. Just wanted to share this to remind you to take care of yourself, whatever that looks like.
The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ajanta in #India contains thirty carved Buddhist caves overlooking a scenic gorge. The caves include paintings and sculptures depicting Buddha's life as well as his previous lives and are described as the finest surviving examples of Indian art. This shot was snapped by #LonelyPlanet#travel writer, @raubontheroad, who is currently on assignment exploring #India. #LPinIndia

Tipo quella gialla in foto. La adoro. Poi è gialla che ve lo dico a fare. Però la comodità è un'altra cosa. Per esempio una borsa grande mi avrebbe evitato di fare un selfie con il pacco di pasta in mano.
The air may be a bit more crisp but on the inside of this lovely Merc, you'll be free from all the chills! One more from our friend, @manueldietrichphotography as he cruised through Bavaria

As I start going through the collections of photos again, this still strikes me as one of the favourites. How do you select the ones to print when you have over a thousand loved ones [AKA 5 star, flagged, yellow highlighted, in the “selects” folder - I promise by the time I go on another creative sabbatical I’ll decide on a half efficient @lightroom workflow].
I have so many beautiful Bagan photos to share with you. This was the morning we just missed the sunrise, I was so disappointed at the time. Looking at the images now, I think I did get some pretty ok shots. In this one, the sunrise is behind me & I’ve captured the first light on the temple. The sky is much prettier in the photo which is unusual. #bagan#visitbagan#myanmar#visitmyanmar#temples#templesofbagan

🏔SCOPING OUT NEW TRAILS 🏔
I can’t tell you how good it feels to be back in Nepal, scoping out new trails in the Annapurna region. This has to be one of my favourite places on Earth! The jaw dropping mountain scenery next to lush green farmland and forests makes my heart sing! •
This trip is particularly exciting as I’m trying out a new trek for Shera & I to add to our @trekaneering list of adventures next year.
We are on the Mardi Himal trek, a less populated option to it’s bustling neighbour trek on the Annapurna Circuit. It’s day one, we started in Phedi and have trekked for four hours through quaint villages perched on the hillsides, with accents of turquoise and red popping up. •
We are now in Pothana, a tiny village and our tea house is painted in pale pink and turquoise, nestled in the hillside. It’s a relief to have a hot shower after some sweaty hill walking and step climbing! •
Tomorrow we will head to the Forest Camp (2600m) which will see us trekking in denser rainforest before transferring into mountainous terrain on day 3, leading up to Mardi Himal Base Camp at 4500m.
This trek is accessible time wise as it takes a little over a week, perfect for the time conscious trekker.
I will keep you posted each day of this trek and details of our 2019 treks here will be available shortly online.

A full coverage matte finish cushion foundation from @TomfordBeauty makes my skin look velvety all day. ตลับสวยจนอยากหยิบมาเติมหน้าทั้งวัน แต่รองพื้นดันติดทนซะงั้นทางเราก็เลยได้แต่แอ็คท่าว่า touch up 😆
